VisCom I Note




* Concept: module
(the relation between each part is: 2x, x, 1/2x ...
so that you can have endless combination of a module)
* Logo: Link
(a coaster modular product; because of the shape of my product (the red and blue square thing on the top of I), I make the logo in rectangles. The spacing between each letter is the same.
The four letters were in the same height. It was not dynamic so that the professor recommended me to make the L and K one level higher and the I one level lower.)

*Letterhead: the logo and the contact info are kept in the center between two folding line.
The info can't be too close to the logo. The logo is so important that there must be some space left around it.
*Envelop (N0.10 envelop-4 1/8 x 9 1/2): envelop is a miniature of the letterhead.
The spacing between the logo and the edge of the envelop & the spacing between the logo and the info are the same with the letterhead.
3 inches from the right side of the envelop can't contain any info because it is for the postmarks.






* Poster: I create different kind of arrangement of the coaster to show people how it works.
In each poster, I create different kind of settings. The table is kept b/w to make the coaster obvious. For the same reason, decorations are line-drawing.
The order to my visual flow: image- tagline(the versatile modular coaster)- logo

* Improvement: In survey, professors said mine is a classic modular product exercise. However, there is something I need to think about -
the square thing which represents me product in the logo is set in red and blue. But, in my posters, the coaster is set in purple and green. Also, in my brochure, the cover is the bold red and blue, but inside the colors are soft purple, green and yellow. If I make the coaster purple, green and yellow, then maybe I should make the logo b/w.





** eyes are lazy. make as few variables as possible - spacing
